When using DOS, sometimes we need to enter one or two Chinese characters. For example, if you only have the Tianhui Chinese character system (tw.exe) and do not have any other input method on hand, what should you do? Actually, the default input method of the Tianhui Chinese character system is the quwei code input method; it is just that who can remember so many quwei codes? If there is another machine nearby running Windows, do you really have to start up specialized software just to look up the quwei code of a Chinese character? Or flip through a quwei code dictionary? And between the two machines you cannot use the method of copying Chinese characters from Windows into a DOS window, so how can you find out the quwei code of the Chinese character you want to enter?
Here is a simple method, hehe...
On the machine running Windows:
Generally, our IE language setting is Simplified Chinese (gb2312).
Okay, enter the two characters “方法” in the address bar. What comes out? The text in the address bar becomes:
http://cns.3721.com/cns.dll?coagent=msn_sa&type=z&act=info&name=%B7%BD%B7%A8
Huh? 3721 Internet Real Name??? Who installed that for me? I hate it the most...
But never mind, let’s ignore it for now. Do you see the characters after info&name= ?
%B7%BD%B7%A8, so strange, I don’t recognize them.
Actually, this is the quwei code of the two characters “方法” that you entered. You just need to remove the % signs.
方: B7BD 法: B7AB
Got it? Hehe...
Why not quickly enter it into your machine running DOS???

After changing it like this, it has something to do with DOS, right? Hehe... Actually, I thought of this problem because I ran into this troublesome thing when using the Tianhui Chinese character system. (Because I did not install py.com and wb.com, for the sake of keeping it small; usually I put it on a boot disk for Chinese display support, and did not intend to use it for Chinese input, but sometimes you just need to enter one or two Chinese characters. Sigh, so this is the only way. Actually, for the Chinese character system used when making a boot disk, I still recommend Pocket Dragon. It is even smaller, but if you want to enter Chinese characters you have to load a Pocket Dragon Pinyin input method. The two files together are still very small. It is just that the Chinese characters are a bit ugly. But if all you want is to understand the Chinese, what does it matter whether it looks pretty? You have to know that when making a boot disk, in order to put more tools on it, every byte is treasured like gold.)
