Can anyone tell me how to apply the effect of this code to a web page? That is, drag a file onto a web page, and have the address visible on the page. Is there any way, when something is dragged onto a web page (or some element on the page), for the page to produce an effect? It doesn't necessarily have to pop up; writing it into a text area on the page would also be fine. Other than the IE address bar [ Last edited by wert123 on 2007-8-22 at 11:32 AM ] |

Generally people use the Browse button...
If you want drag-and-drop, you need a plugin |

The IE address bar should be the highest level. The more I think about this question, the more childish it seems. This thread was probably mostly written for nothing.
Then is it possible to drag it onto some layer on a web page and have it produce an effect? [ Last edited by wert123 on 2007-8-22 at 11:37 AM ] |

.... Try dragging text into IE and see, try dragging an image in and see...
IE just displays it directly... A standalone VBS script can take parameters when something is dragged onto it... A web page is a different matter... |
