My 40G hard drive already had bad sectors. I originally wanted to low-level format it with FBDISK, but who knew it would tell me that track 0 was already bad. I have already downloaded PCTOOLS9.0 from this site, but I don't know how to use it to modify the position of track 0. I hope you can help me, thank you!

I suggest you try the software SPFdisk. If there is logical track damage, you can use it to skip over it. I also have a 40G Seagate hard drive; the first few tracks were bad too. I thought I would have to throw it away, but later I used it to skip the first few tracks and it could be used again. You might as well give it a try. This software has a Chinese version, and the instructions are also detailed! It's on my FTP.
