Probably Linux is more power-efficient. What are you going to download? Go to Baidu Zhidao. Using Linux on a personal computer to surf the Internet is rarely infected with viruses. You can't access websites like QQ Space that haven't been tested with browsers under Linux.

Thanks. My machine is a Celeron 2.0, with 256M of memory and an 80G hard drive, configured in early 2005. I don't know which Linux system to install to get the best running effect, of course, it needs to install and run programs with a graphical interface. Thanks!

If you are a Linux newbie, just use Ubuntu.

This machine runs Windows XP without being slow. Don't use Linux just to save the machine. If you want to learn to use Linux, you can consider installing a dual - system. After all, most software nowadays is installed and used under Windows.

Personal computers are still more convenient with Windows.

Today, I finally found out: Deepin XP with all NT partitions, the system is installed on drive C, and the performance is very stable. If you want stable operation, it's not about what system is good, but about which system version is good. The server version is generally very stable but has poor multi-tasking. It's also related to many factors such as the installed software and the started services.

Each has its own advantages. Linux is relatively resource - saving and is commonly used in servers

Do you mean running fast or saving memory? Memory isn't necessarily the less the better for the system. Linux doesn't have very big games.

LINUX is secure and stable.
It consumes more resources than DOS.
