I’m using an Acer burner with a USB interface. After enabling USB boot, why is there no response at all? Does the motherboard still not recognize it?

How exactly are you using it? What models are the motherboard and the CD-ROM drive?

I just set first boot device to usb-cdrom, then put a bootable CD into the USB burner and restarted the computer, but found that it still booted from the hard drive.
The motherboard is a KT133A from ECS. The CPU is a Duron 1.1. The burner is an external Acer, USB 1.1 interface, 6*4*6.
