The tough DOS problem from not understanding DOS is finally solved! I'm writing it out; maybe it can give a little inspiration to people like me who don't understand DOS.
Symptoms:
: : After formatting the hard disk, I installed DOS 6.22, the set with three installation disks. After rebooting, when it should have shown "Starting MS-DO
: : 1. sys c:
: : 2. delete autoexec.bat and config.sys
: : 3. reformat...
: : 4. use another DOS installation disk set to install
: : 5. repartition, format...
: : The problem still stubbornly remained.
Simply put, after formatting the machine couldn't be used. Because it wouldn't show stuff like "Starting MS-DOS..." and so on. 12345 are the efforts I made. I booted with a system disk, typed in FDISK /mbr, then rebooted, and the problem was solved!
My heartfelt thanks to the experts "以前是高手" and zsy (阿弋)!
And thanks as well to ggt, energy, nuclear, cynosure, and the other experts!
