Help:
Does the moderator have any CD-ROM extension driver other than
SHSUCDX.EXE
CLOAKING.EXE
that can use a little less memory?
When I load CLOAKING.EXE
it conflicts with the himem.sys that comes with Win98 (installation fails)
and the one from 如是大师 also conflicts with my sound card driver,
so I can't use CLOAKING.EXE.
So I ended up using SHSUCDX.EXE.
SHSUCDX.EXE only uses 11k, which isn't much,
but because I load it fairly late,
by the time it loads there is only a little over 20k of UMB space left!
As a result, it still got loaded into conventional memory!
Can anyone help me think of a way!

How exactly do CLOAKING and HIMEM.SYS conflict? I still haven't seen that before!

After I used your disk to boot,
CLOAKING said it did not load successfully,
so the result was predictable.
Later I used that 4k himem from the Rushi Master disk,
and only then did I solve the problem!
But this 4k himem has
some compatibility problems with the sblive driver.
As soon as I use it, the machine hangs.
No way around it!
