Ask for a question. I have a notebook. No CD-ROM and floppy drive; does not support USB boot. I accidentally formatted the C drive. Can't enter any system. Later, I hung the hard drive to the desktop with a mobile hard drive enclosure and restored a 2000 GHOST, installed it on the notebook. I don't know if it's because of the difference between the notebook and the desktop motherboard, it just flashes the banner and can't enter the system. Hope there are experts to give a suggestion, help in an emergency!!!

Copy the 2000 installation file to the hard disk, then enter the i386 directory and run winnt.exe. Remember to find a SmartDrv first and run it.

If you install a Linux system on a desktop PC and then move it to a laptop, it's likely that the system can still boot. Hehe, Linux is different from Windows. Some friends have tried moving it to a completely different motherboard and the system can still boot normally.

Since your laptop can be connected to the desktop computer,,,

Then think about installing an optical drive or floppy drive for your laptop through the desktop computer. Just install it in one of them. After installing it in one of the two, you can use WinPE to repair it.

Just create an ODS in the notebook hard drive and then copy XP into it.

Thanks to the suggestions from the几位 upstairs haha, if it still doesn't work, I can only take it to the place that repairs laptops. Remove the hard drive and install it on a notebook of the same model. I want to know if there are other methods besides this one

If your notebook is not very, very old, generally you can boot through the network card, that is, PXE. Download a MAXDOS PXE version from the Internet, run it on another desktop computer, and then you can install the GHO file to the notebook through the network. The speed is the same as when installing XP.GHO on a desktop computer.

The method of the building owner on the first floor is feasible. Use a universal Ghost to inject it, don't restore it, just put it into the laptop. In the future, install矮人DOS and PE systems. If the system breaks down again, there's no need to be so troublesome.

ghost2K doesn't work, then use DOS. If that still doesn't work, try Linux. If you can get in, it's much easier

It's simple. Hang the hard drive on someone else's machine, copy the Win98 or Win9x folder from the Windows 98 or Me CD to your hard drive, then install the system from the Win98, Win9x folder on your hard drive. Power off immediately before restarting into Windows for the first time, then put the hard drive back and continue installing.
