Great! Found the DOS Union, it's like finding an organization.
Indeed, sometimes using commands to solve problems is more efficient. Have you ever thought about using commands to search the Internet? I made such a tool, using a DOS-like prompt interface For friends who like command lines, click to visit: http://www.cmdgo.com/ Surf the Internet by typing commands, be an advanced net enthusiast. ![]() |

You can use the command - way to search for network resources.
In addition to searching web pages, music, pictures, videos, etc., there are more functions such as weather, words, stocks, etc. Of course, it's just a website, no need to download and install. I think this is a brand - new way to surf the Internet. |

Not bad, give it a thumbs up first.
But there are many places that need improvement. For example, there are too few command parameters. For instance, for "pic g dos", it would be better if we could use Google to search for images with the keyword "dos". Also, the web command line function has not been fully explored. For example, logging in to an email with a command on a web page, etc. [ Last edited by lxmxn on 2007-5-6 at 05:10 PM ] |

Thanks he he, but I have no intention of making the command more complicated. The command plus keywords is basically a complete interaction mode. If there are too many complicated parameters, users will find it hard to accept.
Of course, if necessary, I will consider adding the function that everyone can configure their own default search engine in the future. As for the idea of logging in to the email, it's also very interesting he he |

For example, wget has many parameters, but the simplest ones are not "difficult to accept" for everyone. For instance, wget www.baidu.com can download the Baidu homepage. The number of parameters is not proportional to its acceptability. |

:) Thanks
Commands are actually a primitive way of computer interaction. The ancient DOS was based on the command line. Now, Windows and Linux have evolved to graphical user interfaces. Except for some professionals who occasionally type commands, most people have begun to forget, and more people have never been exposed to this kind of interaction at all. So when coming to the Internet, perhaps no one has ever thought that this ancient computer civilization can be revived. In fact, it is the huge amount of network information that makes people start to feel that they can't just use the mouse to control. Google made people realize the power of the keyboard. A few appropriate keywords can very likely find the page you want. Then, other search engines began to be recognized and accepted by people. Google's special searches have brought back a trace of the breath of commands. For example: fy for word, tq for city weather, gp for stock market quotes, yb for postal code inquiry, etc. Because the advantage of commands plus keywords is that it can express your intention more than the keywords themselves. So web users who have accepted keyword searches can consider accepting the ancient but brand-new way of surfing the Internet with commands. Maybe commands will give you a magical power on the Internet. Typing a few keystrokes on the keyboard can lead you to the final target page. You will be more efficient than others, and your tool comes from the original civilization of the computer system Come on, let's surf the Internet in a different way... |

No problem, I still have many ideas for improving this website. Actually, I am the biggest user of this site. Many people might think this is just a toy website, but I don't think so, because it really improves my internet surfing efficiency. Not only the command line, but its online bookmarks are also very useful, and can be queried directly in the command line
