The question is not very basic. The answer varies depending on the "disk". For example, one of my USB flash drives switches the write-protect state by flipping a toggle switch. I don't understand the write protection you mentioned.

I'm using a Newmine 2.0G USB flash drive with the model number 2080. After making it bootable using the official tool software, the boot partition is write-protected and cannot be read or written, while the other partition is normal.
