a. ASUS P5GPL-X b. Gigabyte 8I945P-G-RH c. HP 2060MT PC FreeDOS: 1.1.35 (2035) 2004.5.30 2036 2006.9.3 GRUB: grub4dos-0.4.3-chs-2007-03-10 grub4dos-0.4.3-chs-2007-04-22 After formatting with HP formatting tool and Flashboot v1.40 to MS-dos 7.1, it can boot on ASUS and Gigabyte and can run GRUB normally. On HP PC, it cannot reach C:\ Formatting the built-in FreeDOS with Flashboot v1.40 in HDD and ZIP modes. Tested on several machines, it can boot to c:\ but cannot run GRUB. |

Don't load drivers in config.sys and autoexec.bat, then try again.

I was really messed up by this FreeDOS.
I spent two days --- just starting out :) --- and it still didn't work. Finally changed to MS-DOS 7.1 and it worked. |

I have the same feeling! Even the mouse CTmouse of FreeDos has a grudge against grub.

FreeDOS is free software, why are you all so easily discouraged?
GRUB4DOS currently has quite good support for FreeDOS. Currently, it supports all DOSes. But the early versions of GRUB4DOS only supported MS-DOS and FreeDOS, not other types of DOSes. It's just that there are problems with the drivers of FreeDOS. Just remove those drivers. You can all try to solve those conflicts. |

Reply to the poster, yes, I can. My USB flash drive is also formatted to ZIP mode with FreeDOS.

Just solved a bug related to FreeDOS. Please try the latest version and see if grub.exe works properly under FreeDOS?
