After XP is installed, no matter what graphics card it is, if it recognizes it then of course the graphics driver gets installed; if it doesn't recognize the card, it uses a generic graphics driver mode so the display can work in a 16-bit color environment. So here is my question: under DOS, is there a generic VGA graphics driver that would let the graphics card work in a 16-bit environment under DOS?
Maybe this is a bit of a newbie question, please reply.

But DOS can automatically recognize all VGA graphics cards.

For a diskless Win2000 terminal, after booting from DOS, is it possible to go directly into 16-bit color? Is there any way without going through WIN32. I seem to have seen some products with this function, but they all seemed to be hardware-integrated. I don't know whether there is any software under DOS that can do this.
