My question is: I want to load a device driver in CONFIG, device=c:\atio.sys. When DOS starts up, I don't want to see the device-related information, and want to go straight into the DOS command line. How can I suppress the displayed information? Thank you. I often come to China DOS Union, and I think the stuff here is very good.

First, see whether atio.sys itself has a function to suppress information
Second, go to the Chinese-localized edition and look for that software about CONFIG.

The driver file atio.sys is encrypted and can't be cracked, so there is no way to know whether it has a suppress function.
Now we can only see how this file is interpreted when DOS starts and loads the program, and then think of a way to suppress it.
Thanks for your reply

Don't know where DEVICE=C:\config.exe comes from?

Look at "Benshi"'s Chinese-localized section!

configp.mnu can indeed do this, but DOS can't enter the command line; it only gets in after using CLS to clear the screen. Why?
