I want to install a DOS system. But I created a DOS folder on drive C: and put all the DOS files into it. But when booting up it can't find the DOS boot files. I'd like to ask you guys how to change the boot directory under DOS,

Please tell your little brother here, I'm a beginner, I'd be extremely grateful.

Use the installation disk to install it.

Or use the SYS command to do it

This computer has only DOS installed. If I don't put the files into that DOS folder I made, it's fine. But as soon as I put them in there, it stops working. Is there any way around this? Guys, could someone explain it a bit more clearly.

This is the very basics of DOS. When DOS boots, it must have at least three files: IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS and COMMAND.COM. Not one of these three can be missing. And they must be placed in the root directory of drive C.
