The hard disk is no longer accessible, and it won't boot either. At startup the CMOS can detect it, but the system can't boot. If I put it in another machine as the second hard disk, that machine also won't boot, and it can't even boot from a boot disk. As soon as the system detects the hard disk after power-on, the hard disk starts making noise... what kind of fault is this?(It's not a zzzzzz kind of noise, it sounds like something is blocking the heads so they can't move, making a "ka-da ka-da..." sound, and it just keeps making that noise. The hard disk can't be accessed at all, only the CMOS can detect the hard disk model, but it can't read any data from the hard disk... This hard disk is in NTFS format. I want the data inside it. I heard DOS 3.0 can be used to fix it. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
