DOSKEY DIR=DIR /W/O/A/P DOSKEY TYPE=TYPE %1 \| MORE Commands like these are very handy, but by default I can only enter 4-5 of them. Otherwise it reports variable overflow. How can I modify config to solve this problem?

Which DOSKEY are you referring to? MS's DOSKEY? Or the one in my boot disk?

It probably isn't a problem with DOSKEY itself. What it reports is environment variable overflow. Then increasing the variable space in CONFIG should solve it. What statement should be used?

So you mean the DOS environment variable space! Then try loading COMMAND.COM with the /E:xxxx parameter.

Still using Command.com as the shell? Try 4dos. It has a lot of new features, doesn't take conventional memory, and has built-in doskey support, so you can delete your doskey.com.

4DOS needs to be registered. The startup registration information is especially annoying, so I think the bundled one is still more convenient.

We do have a cracked version of 4DOS, but 4DOS really does still have some bugs. For example, when used in SHELL mode, the COPY command sometimes gives errors.
