Today I tried some software on the Windows platform, like MSN Explorer, and felt that their interfaces really are quite good! They give people a very friendly feeling. I think DOS should also learn from some of Windows's strong points to make up for its own shortcomings. I think that, in terms of the DOS interface, at least the following major changes should be made:
1: Let DOS fully support background images, instead of being uniformly black. For example, support formats such as GIF and JPG;
2: Let DOS support custom skins, so that DOS can feel much more friendly;
3: Give DOS full 3D effects and some custom special effects, to give people a more realistic feeling.
What does everyone think?
