Detailed usage of shutdown!
-f: forcefully close applications.
-m\\computer name: control a remote computer
-i: display the graphical user interface, but it must be the first option of shutdown
-l: log off the current user
-r: shut down and restart
-t time: set the shutdown countdown
-c "message content": enter the message content in the shutdown dialog box (cannot exceed 127 characters)
-s shut down

You mean the Shutdown command in WinXP, right? The usage of the Shutdown command in DOS or Linux is different again.

Under DOS, shutdown has only two parameters. R and S respectively mean restart and shut down.

DOS is a single-user, single-tasking system (although TSRs can achieve a certain multitasking effect), so there is no need for its shutdown to have that many parameters and functions
