Does any expert have a SMARTDRV.EXE that uses a bit less memory?
I’m using the SMARTDRV.EXE that comes with Win98, but it really uses too much memory, 30K! I remember the SMARTDRV.EXE in PC-DOS seemed to use only a little memory, I just don’t know whether it works well or not! And besides, I can’t get hold of it for the moment, Thanks, moderators, please help out! |

The SMARTDRV in PC-DOS is about the same as the one in MS-DOS. I suggest trying CACHECLK, or using PC-CACHE.
