I remember you said in one post that you really liked DOS networking functions; I don't know how deeply you've researched it.
I'd like to ask whether it would be possible to use the currently common commands to achieve the following: use the TPC/IP protocol in the MSNET on the BART disk, configure the IP and access a remote server, obtain some information from the server (for example, check whether a certain file exists, query a certain string, or even search a certain database), and try to write some information into the server.
Is there any command under DOS that can access a server through HTTP or FTP and return an ERRORLEVEL according to the result obtained?

What I want to implement is that network billing function developed by Tsinghua University. A vague idea is: GRUB4DOS writes to the MBR, and on boot it goes from MBR----GRLDR-----floppy disk image. Under DOS the user enters a username and password, logs into the server, and according to the check result starts NTLDR and then WINXP, or else prompts that login has not yet succeeded and continues letting the user enter the password to log in.

Hehe, I also think it's too troublesome. I've been very busy lately, so I'd better stop thinking about this.
