After the system startup self-check, all the files in one 20 GB partition (drive E, with about 300 MB free space left) were gone. Only a FOUND.000 folder was left (about 10 GB), but if I click Properties for that partition (drive E), the free space is still only about 300 MB. That is what it looks like on the surface. I want to ask, can I still completely recover all the files that were originally on drive E?

Also, what files were once stored in this partition? What had you done on this partition before? The more detailed the information you provide, the easier it will be to solve the problem.

What I saw was roughly just as I described. It should be that the 2000 system could not detect the files on my E drive, and then restored part of the files, but the files originally on the drive disappeared while the used space on the drive did not change. Did the 2000 system recover the files just by modifying the partition table, or did it restore data in the data area to that drive and overwrite other data?
