Now I can't directly use WINRAR to compress to ZIP and use PKUNZIP. As a result, the compression ratio is very low, making the disk very large. How do you use EXTRACT?

Here I just realized that my Chinese language proficiency is very poor, really a failure.
Although I know every single character, I actually can't understand what the LZ means.

Ah, heh heh, I'm referring to the packaging and processing of various DOS commands in the boot disk.
Previously, I used WINCAB for compression and packaging, and its compression ratio was pretty good. However, when extracting with EXTRACT under DOS, I often ran into "OUT OF MEMORY". Sometimes it worked normally in a virtual machine but not on a real machine.
Now I have no choice but to use WINRAR for compression and packaging, and then use PKUNZIP to extract under DOS. But the compression ratio is not satisfactory...
I wonder what tools you great guys usually use for packaging and compression or how to avoid "OUT OF MEMORY" when using EXTRACT?

There are several types of CAB compression algorithms. Microsoft uses the MS-zip format. There are also some formats with relatively high compression ratios, but errors may occur when using Microsoft's extract to decompress. Personally, I most often use Cab Manager, which is very simple and easy to use, and can package with directories. The compression options provide MSZIP, LZX<15> - LZX<21>. If the MSZIP format is adopted, the compatibility with Extract will be relatively good. If the LZX format is used, it's hard to say. I generally start testing from the highest compression ratio downwards. However, when compressing with LZX<21>, the possibility of Out of Memory is relatively high!

LZX<21> Forgot, it seems that if there is no DOS-recognizable partition or something, using this compression ratio will cause decompression errors. To be compatible with such environments, I always use LZX<20>
