Question: how do I configure the CONFIG.SYS file correctly?
There’s nothing especially difficult about it, it’s just that little bit of stuff. Look up more materials online, study the meaning of each line, then add them to your own CONFIG.SYS file, and debug it to see whether there are any errors, then modify it. The key point is that every machine is different, so a configuration that suits him may not necessarily suit you. Consider it line by line, and think it over again and again. A special tip: generally, when booting and about to enter DOS, pressing CTRL+F8 at the same time lets you enter debug mode, so go see the result of each line! As for the rest, that depends on the memory situation, that’s a matter of experience. I drank too much today, so I won’t say more!
