I really don't know how, especially the config setup and the AUTOEXEC.BAT setup, |

These days it generally doesn't need installing anymore, just extract it and it's fine, but you still need to run SETUP to configure the Sound Blaster card. If the settings are wrong, it won't run.

It should work! I've used all kinds of sound cards to run The Legend of Sword and Fairy and never had any problems!

After I enter DOS and type pals, a black-and-white picture comes up
and it asks you to add colors, then enter a password, I really have no idea! Can anyone post it! Do you play it by typing pals? |

I can't get sound effects under DOS, is it because of the settings for the sblive sound card (which has a DOS driver)? Could it also be related to which PCI slot it's plugged into?

If you want sound effects, besides loading the correct driver, the settings in install.exe also have to be correct.
The Sword and Fairy in "New DOS Era" was uploaded by me. Besides the original game files, it also includes patched files; after downloading, just extract it to drive C. If the problem is insufficient conventional memory, this is how I load emm386 in my config.sys: devicehigh=c:\dos\emm386.exe noems |
