You and I are about the same age. I was born in 1983. I'd like to make friends with you.

These past few days I've visited quite a few forums run by our Taiwan compatriots, and I feel that you Taiwanese are really too adorable. When it comes to cursing people, your onomatopoeic expressions are way more varied than ours! Also, I have a few questions I'd like to ask you:

1. Please briefly talk about Taiwan's military service system.

2. Did Germany actually sell you nuclear submarines or not?

3. Do you think Chen Shui-bian will be elected next term?

4. I'd like to hear your views on Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao after they took office.

5. Quite a few military and political forums in Taiwan have posted articles about recognizing Japan as father and imitating Singapore and the like. It made me want to vomit blood. I don't know whether this counts as illegal in Taiwan, but I do know that if someone wrote this kind of article on the mainland, it'd be strange if he didn't get crippled. I also watched your parliamentary videos. It really opened my eyes! How is that any kind of meeting? It's clearly street-corner cursing, isn't it? Do your legislators all participate in politics like this?

6. Recently one of your air force bases held an entertainment performance and invited betel nut MM to liven things up. I really don't know how to describe it. In a word, extremely, extremely pornographic. (Precisely for this reason, I won't upload the pictures.) How can military discipline be allowed to decay like this!!! Does your military often put on performances like this?

7. Taiwanese dramas have left a deep impression on me. Is there really a person named Zheng Fengxi in Taiwan? Did former president Chiang Ching-kuo really receive him?

6. Let me presumptuously ask, where is your ancestral home?

7. Have you participated in the reserves?

If anything I said above was too excessive, please be understanding.

Hehe, you've asked so many questions~ for the moment I don't even know how to answer them~ As for wanting to make friends, hmm, I treat everyone on the forum as friends!! So if you're a user on the forum, then of course you're a friend!!
As for politics, personally I'm not really interested in political affairs! The only thing I'm interested in is computers. Of your questions, I can only answer a few. I'm not very familiar with Taiwan's politics, sorry!!

Do you think Chen Shui-bian will be elected next term?
I think it's impossible. Ever since he took office, Taiwan's economy has kept going downhill, so I estimate he won't be elected.
Let me presumptuously ask, where is your ancestral home?
My ancestral home is in Fujian.
Have you participated in the reserves?
Hehe, I haven't...
Please briefly talk about Taiwan's military service system.
I can only say that Taiwan has a conscription system.

Conscription system? Please explain in more detail. This is the first time I've heard that term.

It's a Taiwanese drama that has been widely praised on the mainland. Don't tell me you haven't seen it? Zheng Fengxi left far too deep an impression on me.

Taiwan is a place all the great powers must compete for. The Japanese want it, the Americans want it, and the Communists want it even more. If World War III is unavoidable, then Taiwan will definitely become a place fought over by military strategists. At that time, the Taiwanese will become the most miserable people in the world. As your compatriot, I pay attention to the situation in the Strait every day!!!

Speaking of computers, I'm also pretty interested, but my skills are lousy. At first I bought a computer mainly to use as a PS machine and play around. Later, because of the exams, I had no choice but to learn a bit of C language.

Besides, I also strongly support the cause of Chinese operating systems. But I'm not very optimistic about DOS. OS/2 is good enough, right? The 640K memory limit, GUI, support for protected mode. And also some kind of file system—whatever DOS doesn't have, it has all of it. But IBM thought it had no future and gave up developing it. So personally I think Linux is the best thing to develop. I play with this system once in a while, but it doesn't feel as good as playing with Windows.

Lastly, I suggest that when you have time, read more Koike Kazuo comics and learn nunchaku from Jay Chou.
