Help, does anyone know how to load the driver for the ALC201A sound card? Most AC97 sound cards nowadays use this chip, there's no way around it, but it just doesn't have a driver under DOS, what are we supposed to do!

I've looked for it, but there are no drivers under DOS. I don't know what to do either... The most basic requirement for getting sound under DOS is that you must have a driver under DOS.

The RealTek ALC201A sound card is still relatively uncommon. But RealTek and Intel AC97 sound cards often don't have dedicated drivers under DOS.

Not uncommon—do you know the ALC650A! It's in the same series as the ALC201A, and there are a lot of 5.1-channel sound cards now that use this ALC soft sound card!
