Entrusted by a friend through rounds of referrals, I went to repair a compatible PC.

Motherboard: Unika UP6PEN Revision. The sound card is integrated, and the graphics card is independent, but its model is unknown (the case wasn't opened).

Original machine problem:

When starting normally, the scroll bar stops moving after rolling less than one full circle. At this time, the hard disk stops reading and writing, and the system doesn't respond.

In safe mode, it can enter the system normally, and no abnormal drivers are found.

Solution:

Ghost 8.0 from a computer company (don't know who forged it) was directly used for restoration.

The first restart: unpacking, restoration, etc. were normal.

The second restart: the scroll bar again only rolled one circle and then stopped responding.

Restarted into safe mode, no problem, and started to recognize the network card and sound card.

Installing the built-in Chipset driver had no problem.

Installing the built-in on-board graphics card driver prompted that it was not supported in this environment.

Disabled the original graphics, sound, and network cards, restarted in normal mode, and it was fine.

Enabled the sound and graphics cards, restarted in normal mode.

After rolling one circle, the Logo color was distorted and the screen was static.

Soon, the Windows startup music came.

Touched Win+U+U in the dark, and successfully shut down.

It's getting late now, withdraw and discuss again.

Used Tomato's MSDN manual installation in the middle

Still the second restart, the screen stopped before rolling around one circle

I didn't install the sound card at that time, and didn't judge whether I had entered the system

If there is a system crash without any drivers installed, should we consider that there might be a hardware problem, such as with the memory?

When encountering strange things, I usually check if the hardware is properly inserted. I have seen several times that strange errors occurred during system operation due to improper hardware insertion.

Not all drivers are absent

After restoring with Computer Company 8.0 for the first time and being able to boot

It proves that it is not a problem with some basic drivers

Until before the second boot

The graphics card driver has been unpacked and installed

Tomato MSDN has the same problem

The first reboot can enter the system to continue the installation

The second reboot has also installed the graphics card driver

So, now it can be basically determined that it is a graphics card problem

It's just that I didn't have the permission to open the computer case at that time

Maybe you used the software Trojan Killer! I don't know what platform this thing was developed on! It must not be WINDOWS! It even deletes and buries explorer.exe! Mistaken it for a virus! Of course, there are also viruses for this executable file! But it's only under WINDOWS, not in SYSTEM32.

It is very likely that there is a problem with the graphics card. // A problem with explorer.exe can also cause the desktop not to be displayed.
