The differences from options 1, 2, 3, 4: Options 1 - 4 are different startup configurations, while F5, Shift+F5, Shift+F8 are different boot mode selections to adjust the startup environment: F5 enters safe mode to start with fewer drivers and services loaded; Shift+F5 enters the command prompt mode to start and directly enter the command line interface; Shift+F8 enters step-by-step confirmation mode to confirm each startup step.

If you boot DOS from a CD-ROM, it is the BIOS that plays a role. After booting, if you need to use the CD-ROM drive, you still need to load the CD-ROM drive driver.
