How to display a colorful screen under DOS? How to display pictures?
I made a picture, 640X480, 16-bit map. How can I make it display under DOS? I want to make it into a background picture. Is that possible?

Several software can be used, for example pictview.exe (see attachment), and the code is as follows:

pictview picture.bmp --q --nocls
wait 2
cls

//--q means immediately release after loading the picture, for specific help please use the "pictview/?" command
//wait 2 means wait for two minutes before executing the clear screen command, so that the picture can be retained on the screen for two seconds

Where should these lines of code be written? I tried writing them in autoexec.bat and config.sys. In the former case, the picture was displayed for less than a second after startup, and then it was completely dark and nothing could be seen. In the latter case, the picture was simply not displayed. What's the matter? Please ask an expert for guidance. Thank you!

Of course logo.sys is used. After logo.sys, then follow a GRUB boot three-screen display
