Found a word error:
Environment for execution : MS-DOS / Win9x_MS-DOS_VM (This VM should be called BOX correctly) VM (Virtual Machine) is a mistake! Because the Win9x MS-DOS window is originally a serious DOS that can directly access hardware, not a virtual machine (only for 2K/XP). Hurry up and correct it, recompile... Updated.. |

Brother GOTOmsdos, there is a simplified Chinese filename in the file, and my foreign friends can't see it. I'm afraid there will be problems in English WinXP. Can it be changed to READ-GB.TXT? Now I'm starting to do it... |

Please download the ZIP file and check the contents. I have unified some file names and created English and Big5 NEW.B5 to make it easier for users to view. Feel free to make changes, and I will add them later. http://johnson.tmfc.net/dos/file/todisk-13a.zip [ Last edited by johnsonlam on 2007-1-18 at 01:14 PM ] |

Just now, I made a few minor changes to the document and the program, and updated the program package.
The document changes are as follows: (For you to update in read-b5.txt <I don't have a traditional Chinese input method here, so I have to trouble you...>, and the other three update instruction files, there's no need to change them, right?) 1 Hard disk/partition/sector free backup/restorer ==TOdisk== (sector mode) Changed to: Hard disk/partition/sector =freE= (free) backup/restorer ==TOdisk== (sector mode) TOdisk is just the name of the program and doesn't contain the characteristics of the program. So, just now I thought of giving the program a name. Previously, it was "Quan Zhen", and you used "True Sector Clone", which is very appropriate. However, there are also some other hard disk tools that are also full-clone. In fact, the biggest characteristic of this program is that "free" is more appropriate. So, tentatively, the full name is: HardDisk/Partition/Sector =freE= Backup/Restorer. What do you think? The second E is in uppercase, which looks a bit strange. I want to express the meaning of freedom not bound by rules, and it's also quite eye-catching. The = signs on both sides, on the one hand, catch the eye, and on the other hand, it means the symbols used in the program file string parameters <different from the parameters of general DOS programs> (The help in the program is also added...) 2 <View mode> -Dn displays information about hard disk n Changed to: <View mode> Warning!!! The DOS drive letters in the partition summary table displayed by the program are inferred according to the DOS drive letter allocation rules, and may not be accurate, especially when additionally mounting drives such as U disks, mobile hard disks, virtual disks, etc., for reference only. But the partition numbers displayed in the table are correct. -Dn displays information about hard disk n [ Last edited by GOTOmsdos on 2007-1-19 at 11:38 AM ] |

Can you make a floppy disk image of Lucho'bootdisk? (I use GRUB to boot it)
I don't want to install a new floppy drive. I haven't booted with Lucho'bootdisk yet. |

No problem, I'll add it in. The English webpage has also been changed, but it always feels not very good-looking, and I'm still thinking about how to make it look better. |

Just now I found a small BUG in your website: (DOS page)
When entering a sub - page (such as QHIMEM, the same for others), then clicking Back to Top, the exact same content as the left DOS general list area will be displayed repeatedly; Hehe... |

In the past, some foreign links only linked to that html (such as qhimem.html), without linking the frame together, so forced to add Return to Top to make them return to the main directory. I believe that normally, users will use the left options and will not press that small text. Bad news! When executing toDISK v1.3a under 4DOS, it is normal without adding commands, but adding anything will crash (with JEMM or UMBPCI) or reset (without any drive)... Got to test if there is a problem with normal MS-DOS... |

toDISK v1.3a crashes under 4DOS? How about previous versions? No problem under MS-DOS 7.1 currently.

Tested on another Iwill machine with no problem... Maybe it's really that IBM machines are incompatible with Borland C? Also asked Brother Jack (author of QHIMEM/QCACHE/QCDROM) to test, and the result is he also has problems: ----- Johnson, Last night, after trying TODisk and writing to you, I went to bed. This morning, upon answering my E-Mails from you and Lucho, I found that my D: partition that was copied to could NOT be accessed by Windows/NT! Thus, I regret that TODisk may yet have some sort of "odd" PROBLEM! ----- He is still using Windows NT 4.0, no RAID. |

Another toz was made for testing, and the result is no errors, but another hard disk is needed to write the image to confirm it. I have loaded QCACHE v4.8 (proving this version no longer causes errors), but the problem doesn't occur often, which may be tricky. I suspect it has something to do with reading some sector programs. If calling DOS to read in, will different versions have problems? Will memory and cache cause other problems such as memory allocation, etc.... |
