I have three partitions on my hard drive. Today, I used the PQ Partition Magic software to merge the D and E partitions. When it was merging to 5%, the program became unresponsive. After restarting, I can still enter Windows 98! There are only C and D partitions left. The files in the D partition are intact and the space hasn't changed. Just that the E partition can't be found and the data in the E partition can't be found.
How can I retrieve the data in the E partition! sos!!!!!!! Thanks! |

1. As the master suggested: If you have ever backed up the partition table before, just restore it;
2. If you have never backed up the partition table, you can use Disk Genius to re - establish the partition table. Disk Genius can find the available partitions on the hard disk and restore them. It should be noted that before attempting to restore the partition table, you should back up the current partition table (Disk Genius has this function) to prevent unexpected situations! 3. The landlord try to do it. If you can't handle it, post a reply, and I can write a tutorial for you. |

Hello moderator, I have tried the diskgen software you mentioned. Let it rebuild the partition, but it hasn't succeeded yet. My E drive still isn't found. Are there other methods?

How did you rebuild it? It should be manual, select the interactive mode... Can you talk about the specific operation situation?

The manual method is better. Then when it finds the partition, you see if it is roughly the same as your original partition. If yes, confirm it; otherwise, let it continue to detect.

The following is a quote from wnzyzyy on May 16, 2003 at 1:59:57: The master's suggested "interactive method" is good. Specifically, do the following: 1. Select the menu "Tools → Rebuild Partition Table". At this time, an information prompt pops up to back up the existing hard disk partition table. Click "Continue" to enter the next step. 2. The prompt box as shown pops up, prompting the user to choose which method to search. Select "Interactive Method". Then diskgenius starts to scan the partition information. After finding it, it will ask whether to keep the partition. Please judge and make a choice according to the original partition situation of the hard disk until all partitions are found. ![]() |

Thanks a lot for everyone's help.
Today, I finally solved the problem with the help of a friend. I used a foreign software called "Data Recovery Expert" to solve it. This software can search the entire hard drive and find all the data of the mistakenly deleted partitions and files on the hard drive. It's very useful. I originally wanted to put it online for everyone to share. But my friend said it was bought with his money and refused to hand over the original file. Sorry! |
