As the Alpha test version evolves, the latest 4008 is already able to bring us a newer experience. Cutting the installation time down to 20 minutes really can give quite a few people that old smooth, satisfying feeling again, but the memory it needs is... well....
Another major improvement may be the SQL-based file management model, which improves the Windows search speed that everyone currently complains about, and the ways and methods of searching have also been updated. Because of the introduction of this new technology and the expectations for it, Microsoft gave it a nice-sounding name: Windows Future Storage. Because of the change in storage methods, people may still need some time to get used to this change.
Longhorn will also change our habits. Some common folder names will be renamed and reorganized by category into Document Library(My Documents), Music Library(My Music), Picture & Video Library(My Pictures and My Videos), My Contacts (Windows Address Book).
