China DOS Union

My original USB flash drive was always used as a bootable disk on my old machine (815 motherboard), and when booted into DOS, the drive letter was a:\. But it didn't work on several friends' machines! I installed GRUB on it, which was very convenient! Recently, the machine was overhauled, and I changed to an 865 motherboard. When using the USB flash drive to enter DOS, the drive letter became c:\, which is very inconvenient, and my USB flash drive was recognized as HD1, making the GRUB I originally installed unusable!

Today, I used FLASHBOOT to re-make the old USB flash drive into a bootable disk. When entering, the drive letter was a:\. I thought it would be okay and back to the original situation. When I wanted to install GRUB, I found that I couldn't enter other partitions of the hard disk! Does anyone who has used it know what's going on? And the AUTOEXEC file doesn't work. Now it seems I can only enter DOS. I can see the files in the USB flash drive, but opening an EDIT also shows garbled characters. The drive letter is the a:\ I want, but the files in the drive can't be opened and started, including TW.exe and batch files can't be opened!

(By the way, when making it, I selected my original 3 boot files. I used FLASHBOOT's own to make it once and it always prompted something, so I used the original boot files to make it.)

Using find --set-root can use relative paths, which should solve your problem.

find searches for file names on all partitions and displays the device that contains the file. If the --set-root parameter is set, it stops immediately after finding the first match and sets that device as the root.
