I used to often use SSTOR in DR-DOS 6 under DOS. After DR-DOS became NOVELL DOS, I never tried it again. These past few days, together with friends from the China Diskless Forum, I've been developing a new generation diskless system. We need to put Mini 98 into a local RAM drive, and that requires creating a compressed system on the RAM drive, so I'm asking about this.

I already tried it long ago. DRVSPACE's compression ratio isn't as high as STACKER's; it can't even compare to SSTOR. Please share your own views, friends!

I remember there was a disk compression tool in FREEDOS. It seemed to be pretty good, but unfortunately I can't remember the name...

Looks like using STACKER is still the safer choice, but I can't find any download for STACKER online anymore. Does anyone still have it?

Download a full edition of DR-DOS, it has it inside.

The version in DR-DOS is very old, seems like it's 3.1, if I remember correctly.
