I'm using an NVIDA chipset, and the manufacturer never even considered making a DOS driver. How can I get the sound card working in a DOS environment? Even just being able to skip sound card detection would do. Some perverse programs, like a certain game, insist on doing sound card detection. Thanks in advance, everyone!

Try going into SCOM and turning off the sound card.
