I think the good thing about DOS is that it is completely open, including everything from the system itself to operating permissions, and through improvements DOS can approach operating systems like WINDOWS, but it is still far inferior to WINDOWS.
Why don't we play to its strengths and avoid its weaknesses, improve DOS, and let it carve out its own territory in specialized system fields!!!

By “specialized system fields,” do you mean things like the embedded field? An embedded section has already been added to the forum.

Exactly right! We have the same view on this point. This is also exactly one of the reasons I think DOS is irreplaceable, and the main reason at that. We don't have to compare everything to Windows or make everything conform to it. It has its own areas where it excels. I think Windows is pretty good as an entertainment and leisure platform, but for other things, the less it meddles the better. Haha
