I see there are many .ex_ files during the operating system installation. Sometimes I want to use one of these files, but I can't decompress it. I hope some experts can give an explanation!

If in DOS, EXTRACT can also be used to decompress.

For example, EMM386.EX_ in the DOS 6.22 installation disk. I've tried numerous methods, but haven't been able to turn it into EMM386.EXE.

DOS6.22 already has expand.
expand emm386.ex_ c:\dos\emm386.exe Extract the emm386.ex_ in the current directory to c:\dos\ with the extracted file name being emm386.exe. |

This thing is not bad, then does everyone know what command is used for compression?

They are self-extracting cab files, which can be extracted with WinRAR.
