During the period when I just registered, it seemed that silver users didn't have the rating authority. Recently, when replying to a newbie's post in the Q&A room, someone deducted more than 10 points from the poster, making the poster's points negative and unable to post new threads. Later, the points were increased to positive, causing the poster to think I did it (because among the reply IDs in that post, only my ID was a moderator level, really depressed). Even questioning the discussion atmosphere of the forum.
I don't know which users currently have the rating authority. Please let me know if you know. |

I don't know this yet. You need to ask the webmaster about it. I remember that when I had a relatively low level, I could also rate, but I forgot what level it was. |

My level can be -8 and +10, and no more than 30 points per day.
It is suggested to remove the "deduct points" function for users and only have the add points function~:) In this way, it can better motivate members to speak actively and compete to solve problems for new users with questions, and inject more fresh blood into the high-quality cycle of the forum~:) The "deduct points" function can be replaced by a "report" function. If an advertisement post is found, you can click "report", and then the system will send text messages to the moderators about which users are reported and who reported them, which can avoid pranks and other illegal reasons. To avoid the problems mentioned above that moderators encounter, the system's "deduct points" function standard can be set as: Whoever deducts the points will be shown as who deducts the points, so no one dares to deduct points randomly and maliciously. At the same time, who deducts points from whom should be prompted to the administrator and moderators in the system message (that is, the deduction record is traceable). If it is found that the user who is deducted points is wronged, the wronged user is removed, and at the same time, the person who deducted points is warned and deducted points as punishment~:) [ Last edited by redtek on 2006-11-11 at 06:24 PM ] |

From the start of being a new user, there are rating permissions, for example:
New User: Maximum score per evaluation: 1 Maximum score per day: 2 Junior User: Maximum score per evaluation: 2 Maximum score per day: 5 Intermediate User: Maximum score per evaluation: 4 Maximum score per day: 10 Advanced User: Maximum score per evaluation: 8 Maximum score per day: 20 And so on. But since it's not possible to directly set it to only add points without subtracting points, I have changed "Poor User" to be able to post, while "Community Beggar" cannot. Deduction records can indeed be checked in the background, but general users may not be able to see them directly. |

redtek's suggestion in 3F is very good. Just as willsort said before: power should not be unused nor misused. I think the rating authority of general users should be restricted. At least the minus rating authority of general users should be canceled. The reason redtek has made it very clear. If it is difficult to only cancel the minus function, we can consider taking the rating authority back to the user groups at the level of moderators and above. In addition, the ID of the person who rated should be displayed on the front desk to restrict random rating behaviors and avoid unfair ratings.

If there is a need to restrict the rating rights of general users, I think it might be better to change it so that only users with senior privileges and above can rate. |

I can add +37 points or -33 points to a post each time. I often deduct points from others (99.9999999999127% are spammers)! It seems I've aroused public anger, heh heh, won't dare next time (mainly because I found out there will be an action record)!!

Finally, the function of displaying scoring records on the front desk is enabled, which is indeed much more convenient.
But there are still some places whose meanings are not very clear. Please look at the following screenshots: What exactly does the score in the [Scorer] column mean, is it to add points to the operator or something else. By comparing the results of the two pictures, I think it is to add the corresponding positive points to the operator. If whether adding points or subtracting points to the other party, it adds the corresponding positive points to the operator, although it can stimulate the enthusiasm of members to participate in scoring, but it is also very easy to lead to the occurrence of scoring behaviors aimed at earning points - I hope it is not the situation I described. If you want to prevent intentional or purposeful point - earning behavior, you can also adopt a way that only users of a certain user group can rate~:)

Personally, I don't think this change is good. The previous gesture was better because these ratings affect reading the post! It is suggested not to display them directly on the post!

The forum needs people like you who say NO to advertisement posts, the more the better. |

The reason why the operator in the second picture above shows a positive score is because in the previous specific scoring operation, the forum only recorded the absolute value of the added/subtracted score, but not the sign (for example, the absolute values of -5 and +5 are both 5; however, the total score is correctly recorded). And from now on, in the specific scoring operation, both the absolute value and the sign should be able to be correctly recorded. |

We can consider displaying them in an appropriate position and with an appropriate size; but if we want to cancel the display, I think it is not very good. The reasons have been mentioned in the previous post. |

Just now, I checked the grade division of the scoring values and found that from -33 to +37, with 7 points as one grade, a total of 11 grades are divided. The reward plan for posting has not changed. Still, posting a new thread rewards 4 points and replying rewards 2 points. And the scoring a while ago was basically with 4 points as one grade, and there was also an additional +2 point grade. This adjustment seems to have a relatively large change, and I feel a bit unaccustomed. For example, suppose a user posts a new thread and gets 4 points of points reward, but his title is very vague. According to reason, some points should be deducted at an appropriate time as punishment. At this time, at least 5 points should be deducted. 4 - 5 = -1, so this user lost 1 point because of posting a new thread with an unqualified title. Personally, I feel that the deduction is too heavy, which will seriously affect the enthusiasm of members.
