See you are here, you have a relatively high rank, so I come to you. Don't laugh at my question..... Just because I'm too noob!!!!

What is DOS?
What is CMOS?
What is BIOS? It might be misspelled, just understand it. What do these mean? What are their functions? Just give a general explanation. I asked this kind of question before, those people just laughed and didn't answer. I don't know if those people have ever gone through my such noob stage!!!!

The above is what I want to know, and the following is what I asked....

How to start DiskMan under DOS??????
I have read a lot of instructions about DiskMan for restoring partitions and a series of things. I lost a partition.
I want to restore it, but most of the articles about DiskMan are just some usage instructions. (I have read a lot) Then finally it tells you that this software should be used under DOS. The problem is, for a noob like me, how to start DiskMan under DOS is the real problem, because there are many usage articles on the Internet, but there are no detailed introductions on how to start. Can you give a detailed tutorial or instruction on how to start DiskMan under DOS???

This is also the reason why I asked what DOS is....

---------------------------------------------------------------
Want to reply, but say I don't have enough permissions??? Only can modify here!!!

Lao Ban (2nd floor), is this a joke? Noob, haven't you gone through it?? Did you know what a computer was for 10 years ago?

Bamboo Zhu (3rd floor)!!! I said, I just want to know the general meanings. Don't make the problem so big, so much stuff, just answer the question!! I have posted such a lot of posts, and I have seen too many such replies. Please respect our noobs' desire for knowledge, and also respect your management rights!
Why did I lose 5 points when I posted a post?? Now it's -5 points???? Is the question too noob? Without us noobs, wouldn't those experts be bored to death??? And there are 3 inverted fingers!!! I actually think it's not me who is ridiculous, but you who are too ridiculous,..........

5th floor,, I have corrected it, thank you...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope to really understand me as a noob, don't answer with "just ask such a little question" and "there is too much stuff for this question".
I just want to know the general meanings for those 3 questions! For example, BIOS is to set the basic operations of the computer, etc. Such simple answers are okay........

Because my partition is missing one. I searched the Internet for the DiskMan software which can help me, but I don't know how to start it initially. Hope everyone can help me... Hope the friends here don't let my determination of "everything depends on myself" be dashed!

Such problems are too big to be explained in a few words, and it won't be clear to you in a couple of days. The only way is: search more, read more topics, and supplement basic knowledge more.

The problem you raised is not something that can be understood with just a few words. It mainly depends on your own practice.
It's not that I don't want to answer your question, but such questions are not easy to answer.
For the upper part of the question, you can use gooel to find more and read more, maybe you will understand.
The lower part of the question can't be explained in a few words.
The content you need to understand is not as simple as you think.
Just "How to start DiskMan under DOS??????"
Can lead to several questions.

Note: The above are all personal opinions. If there is any offense, please forgive me.

Hehe, let me start things off...

1. DOS is just an operating system. Before Windows became popular, it was mainstream; now although it's a bit marginal, there are still many tools that must run in the DOS system. The recovery disk tool you mentioned must run in DOS, just like QQ needs to run under Windows.

2. Simply put, CMOS and BIOS are a chip fixed on the motherboard that stores the basic hardware of the computer. Press DEL (some computers might use another key) when booting to make settings. The computer must first load the hardware settings from CMOS to run system software (such as DOS and Windows), and then it can run application software.

My answers also have mistakes, and I hope experts can correct them.

The following questions I can't answer either. I'm also a newbie.

Hehe, let's progress together. Points are secondary; the main thing is to learn something.

I'm a newbie, but I know the way to get rid of being a newbie.
I can't solve the problem either, but I know the method to solve the problem.

Hehe~ Deduction of points is based on the rating given by the person who reads the post and has nothing to do with the forum moderator. A -5 score makes it difficult to reply. Maybe it was just set recently, mainly targeting advertisement posts. Now I've given +3 rating to the first floor again, and you can reply now, which also has nothing to do with the moderator!

For the first two questions, you can search for them. Just understand them as a novice. For the third one about DiskMan recovering lost partitions, if you can enter the DiskMan interface, use the shortcut key Ait+T, then Rebuild Partition Table >> Continue >> Automatic Mode >> F8 to save, and it's done. Note that if you want to recover that lost partition, you run the risk of losing other partitions. The safest way is to back up the partition table to a floppy disk or USB drive before rebuilding the partition table (shortcut key F9)

Finally, I can post. Since I posted this thread, I've been coming here to follow it, but I couldn't make a comment (in any section).

I don't understand if my question is just too basic, you guys think it's a joke, or it's too difficult to answer me!!!!!!! So my first post was deducted 5 points, and there are 3 downward thumbs???!!!!! As I said, when I asked this way in other technical forums, it was met with laughter, perfunctory responses, and denigration of my question. But even so, I shouldn't have been unable to post. I don't know what the regulations here are for deducting my points! Did I affect anything here?!!!!

It's really uncomfortable to keep not being able to speak. This time I came, had the shackles removed, and finally can let it all out!!!

I don't know how my eager to learn attitude affects the nerves of these so-called experts! Ridiculous!!!

Every time I make a reply, post, quote, etc., it tells me "Your level is Poor User, no right to use this function"!!!! I don't know how many people have not violated any regulations, just posted a simple few questions in a specific section and have been shut out!!!!

I really can't take it anymore. I edited a post, didn't change any of the words above, to refute this inexplicable treatment and reply!

If the moderator has no intention to answer, just leave, why talk so much nonsense...... Infuriating that one post turned me into a Poor User!!!

Thank you for the information, but I'm in a hurry to recover one of my partitions, so how to start DiskMan under DOS, please give some simple and practical operation methods!!

Reply to Floor 7.
Such a reply is what I said, just knowing the general meaning is enough.. It seems my Chinese isn't that bad, and there are people who can understand, thank you for your answer, progress together is our goal!!

Reply to Floor 8, I've never seen this before!!!!!........

Reply to Floor 9
Your reply is ridiculous. Everyone knows the way to get rid of being a newbie, read more, learn more, ask more. I don't believe you've never asked anyone a question. In the process of getting rid of being a newbie, there are many questions. You need to read, but if you read and don't understand, you have to ask. So I have these few questions. Why do you come out and go crazy??!!! Since you can't solve the problem, have you never encountered a problem? Or do you not need to solve problems?难道 you solve problems by spending money all day to settle it? Haven't you ever found someone? Asked someone??? Your post is here for everyone to see, just showing off, making a fool of yourself!!!!

Thanks to the person above. As a newbie, just get to know it. My three questions are also like that!

I downloaded your tool to see if I can enter DISKMAN. If I take out the files in the lost partition, then back up the partition table, and then rebuild it, can I save my current data files?
Note: The backup is only operated in DISKMAN, without additional USB drives or floppy drives, is that okay?

Also, after this installation, how to enter and start DISKMAN??? Do you need a CD or is there a DISKMAN file on the hard disk?
