This version of KNOPPIX 3.2 is still okay. It can also run on my machine.
This so-called CD - running version is really good. In the past, when playing with LINUX, one was that many hardware was not recognized, and second, if one was not proficient in hard disk partitioning, it was easy to cause hard disk data loss. Now there are no worries. It can be regarded as a worry - free version. Hehe...
I am running it in VMware 3.2. The latest version 4.0 detects that my CPU is not Intel or AMD and refuses to execute the installation program on my machine. 5.555... So painful.
If you want to buy a CPU, everyone should buy the above two kinds, so as not to be discriminated against. Don't be like me who uses VIA, now I can only cry...
This version has very good support for Chinese, and there is a Wubi input method. When browsing the web, I don't need to manually set up the network card and so on. But the font on the screen looks not very clear, just like the feeling when reading a PDF document in ABROAD READER. And the colors are not pure, the black color seems to be a mix of seven - color, a bit like what is printed by an inkjet printer...
I allocated 128M of memory to the virtual machine, but the response when typing is still very slow. (The characters are displayed slowly, it's so tiring to type these words)
If you are interested in playing with LINUX, I recommend you to download this version of KNOPPIX from JUJUMAO's FTP!
It seems there is a bug? When I type faster, the keyboard input order sometimes gets messed up. Like just now when I typed KIXNOPP, it output like this. It should have been KNOPPIX, but IX ran to the front.
