Although Xiuzhenlong Chinese character support system is small, it's not very practical. This is just my personal feeling. Quite a few programs have problems running under Xiuzhenlong Chinese character support system. I ran into several cases before, but I can't remember them now. It seems that after running some individual software and then exiting Xiuzhenlong, the machine would hang. Now I get a bit of a headache whenever I see Xiuzhenlong.

Yeah, there is such a situation. It may be some restrictions that the author Li Xiaodong put on the giveaway edition.

Tianhui's pocket edition is pretty good.

But it's nearly 4 times bigger.

I hesitated for quite a while back then too, and only in the end did I put XZL onto my DOS boot disk.

I've already replaced all the xzl in my original boot disks with TW. Anyway, in the end I'm going to make it into an all-in-one CD, with 2.88M support. Besides, I think stability and practicality should be what we aim for, instead of only thinking about having more in a smaller size.

I suggest everyone make some 2.88M boot disks. The quality of floppy disks nowadays is really terrible. Wouldn't integrating them into a CD be much better?

I think compatibility should come first for a Chinese character support system,
but now I've found that basically every Chinese character support system has software that conflicts with it.
Seriously!
GHOS is the only one I've used that has no compatibility problems with QV,
but it has compatibility problems with HD-COPY instead,
and xzl has no way to load into UMB.
This is also a fact there's no way around!

I feel the same about this Xiuzhenlong Chinese character support system too. Better to switch to TW. Also: could you make a boot disk suitable for CD burning? That way, at least space wouldn't be much of a problem. I'm eagerly looking forward to it. Recently I wanted to burn a bootable CD, so I've been looking for the most suitable boot disk. I hope the site admin can use a little ingenuity and make one, to satisfy the many enthusiasts!

I think instead of XZL, it would be better to switch to UCDOS 7.0 Lite. It's even smaller, and compatibility is also better.

Switching to UCDOS 7.0 Lite would also be very good, but the problem of Chinese input still has to be considered. UCDOS's Chinese input method is really too big.

Does it support loading an external input method?

It has good points and bad points. But I choose Dahui pocket edition!
