But personally, I think it might be better to replace the update marks with update dates. Because new and old are just relative concepts. The content updated today will be old after a month, half a year or a year. At that time, the update mark is still there, which will lead to a very funny scene: after updating all the software, all the software will have update marks, and all the software will have a "latest" label, but are they really "latest"?

In addition, there is a similar problem on the software download page: many places can see descriptions like "the latest version in × month this year", but there is no description of the upload time of the software, which is easy to make people have the doubt of "What time is it now?".

namejm is right! The update marker should be replaced with the update date!

Actually, DOS software is updated very slowly. I think using "update mark" is more eye-catching and it's better to keep it. It can be changed to be placed on the left side of each software name, and put "update date" on the right side of the software name, like the following:

On the forum's birthday, I made some updates to DOS software again, mainly for file tools and game software categories. The specific contents are as follows:

Updated the download links of Snes9x in the game software category and Attrib, ChkSum, Delen, Wipe, XRD, FileUtils in the file tools category in the DOS software classified downloads. At the same time, updated ZSNES and MAME in the game software category, JEMM386 in the driver category, and XXCOPY, LOCATE, DEVLOAD, INIFile, LFN Tools, WCD in the file tools category to the latest versions.
