The situation is like this:

Using a Tomato Garden CD to install the operating system on a Sony laptop,
I accidentally made a wrong choice and selected "NTFS DOS Boot Disk", and then after the computer boots up, it's just the DOS interface "a:\".
No matter how I restart, it's like this, and I can't enter the original operating system anymore, 555555555555555
Originally, only the Windows XP system was installed,
Please advise............... Thank you very much

DOS interface commands
attrib -s -h -r c:\boot.ini
edit c:\boot.ini

timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT

Supplementary note partition(1) is partition number 1

Even if you can't even get into the operating system, the simplest way is to download the .iso and burn it to a disk, then set the BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM. If you're proficient, you can also virtualize the .iso in DOS to boot into WinPE.

If you set the "BIOS" to boot from the optical drive, will it directly enter the DOS system (command prompt: "a:\") after booting? The computer is someone else's, and I can't test it now, I don't know what will happen? Thanks a lot~~~~~~~~~~~~

If there is a bootable CD-ROM on the CD-ROM drive, the "a:\" will not appear.

The landlord changed the boot sector of the NT system to the boot sector of 98, right?

First, use SRCBOOT to back up the 98 boot sector, then use the BOOTPART command to rewrite the NT boot sector, and then start!

I don't know if there should be a bootable CD for the system disk (Tomato Garden Windows XP)?
