I have an MP4 and want to read e-books on it!! But the manufacturer's tech is really lousy. It has bookmarks, but when reading you have to be very careful not to press the wrong key, otherwise you have no idea where it jumps to!! Then you can only start all over from the beginning!!! But the novel I want to read on it is too big, over ten thousand pages (the MP4 divides the pages itself). If something happens after reading a few thousand pages, this thing will drive you crazy! So I want to split it into several parts, by chapter!!! But I've been messing with it for a long time and still got nowhere, I'm getting dizzy here!!! Could some expert give me a few hints!!!! The uploaded attachment is only one tenth of the original text!!!

This electronic version is a bit clearer. It defines each chapter by incrementing Chinese numerals, from “一、” all the way to “七十二、”:）
Also, each chapter starts on a new line.
(In your sample e-book, the previous chapter and the next chapter are on the same line, just without manual formatting, but that's actually just right for reading on an MP4:）
