Dear experts, help! I just installed the Red Flag 4.1 desktop version of the Linux system from DOS, but after installation and restart, there is no Linux boot menu bar! There is no optical drive or floppy drive on my computer, and the system was installed from the hard drive.

1: If you can enter DOS, use Disk Genius to read the 512-byte boot sector of the partition where Red Flag 4.1 Linux is located, and save it as C:\linux.bin. Edit the content of boot.ini to C:\linux.bin="Red Flag 4.1 Linux"
2: If you can't enter DOS, use grub4dos. As for how to configure it, I haven't touched Linux for many years, so...

Thanks to the second floor, I have solved it, but I messed around after entering Disk Genius, and I can't remember exactly how it was. Can you share the specific process with everyone? Thank you again here.

After entering Disk Genius, messing around is because of incompatibility with some DOS programs. Entering Disk Genius in minimal mode MS-DOS generally won't have issues.

After entering Disk Genius, select the Linux partition with the mouse, press Ctrl+R, then press Save As in the upper right corner. Set Sector 1, file name C:\linux.bin, and it's done. C:\linux.bin is the boot file of Red Flag.

You mentioned earlier that you said you had solved something, but I'm not sure what it means? Is it about reinstalling Linux with LILO boot, and then booting XP is very troublesome? Using grldr to boot Linux is actually very simple, but I don't know the root directory structure of Red Flag. Try to extract my attachment to the C drive and edit the content of C:\boot.ini as C:\GRLDR="Boot GRUB 0.97"

The original attachment has been deleted

I first modified the boot.ini file and then entered DOS to do it, and it took several attempts to make it work.
