Software/hardware environment: an IBM ThinkPad 560e laptop, with floppy drive, no CD-ROM drive, 3Com 3c589d combo 10M network card (PC Card), 2G hard disk; divided into C and D, two FAT32 partitions, and the Windows 98 system on the drive has already been damaged and formatted!
Another machine is a Duron-compatible desktop, Windows 98SE, with an onboard Realtek8139 10/100M adaptive network card.
Task ^_^: first upload the Windows 98SE installation files from the latter machine's hard disk to the 560e, and then install the system. Best if the original partitions are not damaged.
I'm also just helping a classmate. I previously tried installing nwlite and msclient3, but because I'm too much of a newbie, it didn't work out. This situation is rather special: the laptop is very old (PMMX), but the network card is relatively new (the above software doesn't come with the driver, and after downloading the for DOS driver I don't know how to use it).
Now I'm asking friends who support DOS and support China DOS Union to please help out! Show some concern for the future of the motherland, tomorrow's hope ^_^ Thanks
