When I bought the Toshiba laptop, I didn't buy the original CD-ROM, and now I can't reinstall the system.

After searching online, I found the following method: Boot the laptop to the DOS state, and then I can load the USB interface drivers and the corresponding drivers for various USB optical drives. In this way, any external optical drive can be used to restore the Toshiba system.

I have a Toshiba USB floppy drive and an "eke" USB CD-ROM.

Please, who can help me solve the problem of this boot disk?

Dell's USB CD-ROM boot disk. I have booted many CD-ROMs and haven't found one that can't boot.

When the computer boots, the USB optical drive boot disk in the floppy disk is loaded by the computer,

Then can the computer recognize the off-brand CDROM? Then I can reinstall it?

The disk I gave you is an ima file. You can use Nero to burn it. Create an ISO boot disk in Nero. In Nero, select to boot from the ima file I gave you. Then you can load the USB drive, and then install the system using the WinXP CD.

You mean: let me burn the file you sent me to a CD and then boot the computer??

Strange, you have a USB CD-ROM, why not use the XP installation disk to boot from the CD-ROM to install the system... Your machine is a Toshiba PR100, right?

But how to make the recovery disk in my CD start?

Download a universal Ghost file and the Ghost file from the internet, burn them to a CD. Burn the ima file according to the pictures in the email. Boot the system from the CD, run Ghost, and restore the system.
