I'm using an A4Tech USB mouse. I added device=ohci.exe in CONFIG.SYS (the one from USB LINKER 2.5), and after rebooting the system shows:

usb link, usb stack driver,ver 2.5
.........................................
OHCI USB Controller initialized.......

Then it just hangs there and won't move, with no response at all. I tried replacing OHCI with UHCI; although it doesn't hang, it can't detect the device. Please help, experts!

It's an FUJISTU P2040 laptop, the CPU is CRUSOE, motherboard model unknown, and I'm loading EMM386.

Try removing EMM386 and then loading OHCI.

It's working now. After removing EMM386 it can load, so I guess this is the only way. My motherboard can't use UMBPCI either, how depressing~~

Since that's the cause, then it's easy to deal with. You only need to add the X=D000 parameter to EMM386 and OHCI will run.

X is a parameter of EMM386. It means excluding the specified memory address. If you add the X=D000 parameter, OHCI.EXE should be able to run normally.

My laptop is a Lenovo Zhaoyang E200 notebook. On it, even if I remove the emm386.exe line from config,sys, OHCI.exe still won't run; it hangs after running it. Running UHCI.exe can't detect the device. Everyone, please help. My laptop has to install some software to drive the mouse under MS-DOS mode, otherwise it has no PS2 mouse port.

Haha. OHCI.exe and UHCI.exe, these two USB mouse drivers, are not very complete. Running GHOST and Microsoft's edit.com is no problem. Running other DOS programs, mouse-supported programs, may cause errors. For DOS programs, a PS/2 mouse is still easier to use. I suggest you use the kind of optical mouse with a USB---PS/2 adapter. That's what I use. A Tsinghua Tongfang one. 80 yuan.
