To Admins:

Due to personal reasons, I have been unable to stay in the forum for more than a month recently, and it is expected that this situation will continue for three to six months or so. Therefore, I am unable to perform the duties of the moderator in the two sections of "DOS Troubleshooting & Problem Discussion (Help Desk)" and "DOS Batch Processing & Script Technology (Batch Processing Room)" of the forum. Therefore, I specially apply to the management to resign from my position as moderator in the above two sections. Please review and approve it by the management members.

I think everyone won't agree. The moderator should still stay in office. The technical support for the section can be completed by many experts together.

Re UPs:

First of all, I am very grateful for the sincere retention of the two of you!

Secondly, I would like to state that my application to resign as a moderator has been carefully considered for a long period of one month. The reasons have been explained in the application and will not be repeated. What needs to be added is that after resigning as a moderator, I will still be a member of the China DOS Union Forum, because I have already regarded it as my own home. Now I am like a family member traveling far away. Although my concern for the home remains unchanged, it is no longer appropriate for a wanderer to continue to be the housekeeper. I will still try my best to come back to the forum and hope to continue to make my own contribution with my meager efforts.

In addition, my application also hopes to activate the management atmosphere of our forum where the waves behind push the waves ahead, so that the appointment and removal of moderators and the related system agreements can be gradually clarified, and can arouse the later talented and knowledgeable people in the forum to continuously join our management team. Take this opportunity, I also suggest that the management can convert the moderators who have not logged in to the forum for a long time into other levels of users, so as to provide a stage for later generations to show their talents.

Finally, after seeking the consent of brother namejm, I specially recommend him to serve as the moderator of the DOS Batch Processing & Script Technology (Batch Processing Room) position, and invite the management members to discuss.

版主willsort is a rare talent in the forum, knowledgeable and fair. He is one of the moderators I admire the most. I hope you can continue to serve as a moderator!!! If you cannot stay in the forum for a long time to fulfill the duties of a moderator due to personal reasons, you can ask the administrator for a half-year leave! I think the administrator should approve it!!!

willsort can actually ask for leave, and Yulu's suggestion is good.

If you just want to make the management personnel renew, I think we can set up an assistant moderator position. On the one hand, usually the assistant moderator can get familiar with the forum management. On the other hand, when the moderator is unable to perform duties due to something, the power can be handed over to the assistant moderator to exercise on behalf, and the assistant moderator will not be at a loss because of not being familiar with the forum management.

Brother willsort, why are you leaving? If you're busy, you can ask for leave or find someone to take over first!

Re UPs:

Regarding the eight-character comment "profound knowledge, impartial and honest" given to me by Yulu, I can probably only humbly decline the word "impartial". As for "profound knowledge", that is my lifelong goal, and "impartial and honest" for a forum with no tangible assets can only be "excessive praise".

Regarding the practice of using leave of absence instead of resignation, it is probably not applicable to me.

First, my offline time may be very long, and long-term absence is likely to cause new and old members of the forum to have a negative impression that the forum management is not well-managed and the forum moderators are holding positions without doing anything, thereby reducing their sense of identity and belonging to the forum, and at the same time increasing my sense of guilt and remorse for the forum.

Second, forum moderators have considerable operating permissions on the forum, and a long-unused moderator ID may leave enough time for malicious attackers to implement cracking and attack behaviors, thereby affecting the security of the forum.

Third, "being in a position, performing one's duties" is not only the basic principle for national civil servants, but also the behavioral coordinate for forum managers. In order to form a virtuous cycle in the development of forum management, it is necessary for the management to continuously replace the old with the new. The practice of only promoting without demoting should be regarded as a drawback in the officialdom, and we should focus on improving this situation.

Fourth, managers are not equal to talented people. Forum moderators, like other managers, are essentially a combination of responsibilities and rights, not a title symbolizing high level. Only those who have the energy, ability, and enthusiasm for management can be competent, because the most important duty of a moderator is management rather than replying.

Finally, thank you again for everyone's recognition of me. However, I sincerely hope that the management can approve my application. Thank you very much.

The work of the forum moderator can be ignored, but the name of the moderator should also have willsort listed, you see many other moderators haven't shown up and still act as moderators

I personally think what everyone said makes sense, especially the suggestions from Yulu and others are very good. However, if willsort has indeed made a careful consideration, then this application will enter the formal procedure.

Re Wengier:

I hope to enter the program as soon as possible.

Of course, if after a period of time my time and energy have been restored, then I will reapply for the position of moderator. However, this may bring additional work burdens to you and other administrators, but I still hope that the forum management can take this opportunity to embark on a faster development track.

There is also a workaround. That is, the moderator willsort can be re - appointed as "honorary moderator" or "名誉版主". I wonder if it works? (For reference only)
