Yitian Chinese 3.5 No-Hard Drive Boot CD Instructions: (freeware)

1. Change the PC-DOS 7.0 Startup Menu selection mode.

2. The current test result is that Yitian Chinese is best used with the 3.5 ET16V-16 (VGA) version; as for the later-developed Yitian 2000 for DOS, it is not applicable to today's computers with AGP graphics cards. This is because its setting parameters do not use the (VGA) universal capabilities, so it cannot display compatibly and cooperate with today's late-model graphics cards.

3. The Yitian Chinese operating system is best used with MS-DOS 6.22 or PC-DOS 7.0; if using Win95, Win98, MS-DOS 7.10, there will be an incompatible crash situation between the CONFIG.SYS -> EMM386.EXE NOEMS setting and ETCTL/D. And canceling the EMM386.EXE NOEMS setting will cause the problem that the execution application software has insufficient memory and cannot start and use.

4. Add EZBOOT to quickly format FAT32, about seven seconds. Currently, the detection result does not exceed the limit of large-capacity hard drives of 64GB; but it is necessary to use PQMagic 8 to adjust 32k Clusters.

5. Add SPFDISK to quickly partition and plan the hard drive function, but there is no formatting menu.

6. Add Ghost 8.3 to back up hard drive data function, the default CD slice is 600 MB; this is because under the DOS system, only CD-R 700 MB can be used for burning backup and restoration. If using DVD 4.7 GB for burning backup, there will be a problem that the hard drive data cannot be restored. The test result seems to be limited to burning below DVD 2GB ISO9660. According to the existing information, it may be that DOS cannot support the UDF DVD format disc problem, and the UDF format can only be read normally when using Windows 2000 or above operating system.

7. Add Smart Boot Manager multi-boot disk installation hard drive steps. This is for Ghost to be able to perform partition backup and restore hard drive data functions under a single hard drive. For those who often encounter garbage advertisements, trojans, spies, viruses on the Internet and cannot solve them, this is the only most secure way to adopt passive resistance.

8. Add PQMagic 8 hard drive partition planning function, design a graphic mouse menu operation mode; because using the PC-DOS 7.0 operating system, it provides the benefit of 64k Clusters for Windows NT/2000/XP for this software, and MS-DOS 6.22 cannot support it.

9. Add MS-DOS 7.10 FAT32 DOS operating system disk installation hard drive steps. COUNTRY=001,437 has been installed. If setting 950 , some motherboards do not support it; although this boot CD ISO file uses the PC-DOS 7.0 FAT16 DOS operating system, there are still methods and skills through the FASTCOPY software to overcome installing the MS-DOS 7.10 FAT32 system disk and restoring the initial MS-DOS 7.10 system hard drive boot. This installation step is actually for later multi-boot Ghost backup and restore use.

10. The purpose of this CD is to cooperate with Yitian Chinese and hard drive partition planning steps. In consideration of the compatibility between each other, PC-DOS 7.0 has to be adopted, so the direct access to the hard drive data space is naturally limited to below FAT16 2.1GB.

11. After downloading and extracting, this CD ISO file is about 97MB. When using Ghost 600 MB CD-R disc slices for burning, 97MB + 600 MB < 700 MB, which can just be used as the boot file for CD boot backup and restore.

12. Keep the commonly used application software in the past DOS era.

13. Update CTMOUSE.EXE 2.0 version. The old version of the MS-DOS 7.10 mouse driver will lose the mouse cursor function when starting the DOS + Ghost system under AMD 64x2 dual-core.

14. Add Multiple Boot Manager Japanese comic-style multi-boot system installation disk.

The actual real reasons:
The is designed to provide a limit of 2MB for uploading data files at one time, so it is necessary to carry out file sub-packaging!

Supplementary notes: (1) For the 4.7 GB DVD Ghost backup, restoration, and burning, due to UDF format issues, it is best to use the system supported by {BartPE + WinXP SP2 English + Ghost v8.3 Plugin + ...}, and the compressed ISO is about 230MB. For a 700MB CD-R, the system area occupies too much. Also, Ghost32 can only read DVD backup discs in ISO9660 format, and cannot read ISO/UDF or UDF format. Therefore, BartPE + WinXP SP2 + Ghost32 can currently only be used as a CD-ROM bootable disc alone.

(2) Test results: 3.87GB backup data > 2GB for DVD+R restoration data test

a. Failure: Using UltraISO to check ISO/UDF or UDF DVD burning
Reason: Ghost & Ghost32 do not support reading data discs in UDF DVD format.

b. Failure: ISO9660 & BartPE + Ghost32 & xxx.GHO, xxx.GHS, ... burned on the same DVD disc
Reason: There is a bug in BartPE + WinXP when booting with a DVD disc.

"File setupdd.sys could not be loaded."
"The error code is 4"
"Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit."

c. Failure: ISO9660 & PC-DOS 7 + Ghost → CD-ROM 700MB
ISO9660 & xxx.GHO, xxx.GHS, ... → DVD+R 4.7GB
Reason: PC-DOS 7 + Ghost is a CD-ROM ISO9660 bootable disc U:
xxx.GHO, ... is a DVD ISO9660 backup data disc V:
DOS Ghost cannot read the xxx.GHO file, and the DOS version does not support backup data larger than 2GB.

d. Success: ISO 9660 & BartPE + Ghost32 → CD-ROM 700MB
ISO 9660 & xxx.GHO, xxx.GHS, ... → DVD+R 4.7GB
Reason: BartPE is a CD-ROM ISO9660 bootable disc X:
xxx.GHO, ... is a DVD ISO9660 backup data disc E:
Ghost32 can successfully restore and read data from a DVD backup disc larger than 2GB to the system hard drive C:.

Bart's PE Builder CD Boot ISO English Version Instructions:

1. This Bart's PE Builder CD boot ISO file is in English. When testing the production result of繁体Chinese Windows XP, it was found that Bart'sPE displayed Chinese characters as blank spaces. Therefore, currently, only English version Windows XP SP2 can be used for production.

2. Except for Disk Comander v1.1 and ERD Comander 2002 which are no longer available for download from Winternals company, the remaining Plugins have been installed and can be used directly.

3. After decompression, it is 226 MB. Due to the occupied amount of the CD-ROM system boot area and the problem of whether the Ghost restore data can be successfully installed, Bart's PE may be suitable for burning on a 4.7GB DVD in the future, but currently there are bugs and it cannot boot successfully from a DVD. Additionally, unfortunately, currently, the Ghost quick batch automatic restore command cannot be established and needs to be adjusted manually.

4. Only suitable for CD-ROM 700MB burning.

5. There are six split compressed packages: BartPEISO.exe, BartPEISO.c00, BartPEISO.c01, BartPEISO.c02, BartPEISO.c03, BartPEISO.c04.
